Binding styles...
Many book companies perfect bind their books. We offer perfect binding also, but prefer the higher quality hand sewn binding style. It is much stronger and more flexible than the perfect binding. This comes in real handy for some types of books such as custom wedding guest sign in books (made from engagement and childhood photos) which allow for the book to lay almost completely flat. The pages are very secure and will not pull out.
If you have more than about 120-140 pages, your book should be hand sewn and then rounded and backed. This binding and casing style accommodates the swelling in the spine from the linen thread. This is an especially beautiful binding where the craftsmanship is readily apparent.
